Dynamic Technology Systems Awarded PCMP Contract From Army Publishing Directorate

Dynamic Technology Systems, Incorporated (DTS) and Computer Science Corporation (CSC) announced that they have been awarded the contract for the U.S. Army Publication Content Management Program (PCMP) contract. The PCMP program is a 4 year, $35 million contract to improve the way the Army manages the provisioning of all knowledge, utilizing an infrastructure that supports business process modernization, fosters re-use of data, promotes user collaboration, and enables new paradigms in Army operations, such as the migration from paper based publications to a paperless environment.
DTS with its blend of 28 years of combined incumbent knowledge and publishing expertise is war fighter focused and customer oriented. DTS will partner with the Army Publishing Directorate (APD) to assist their transformation into a “knowledge organization” and to become the premier knowledge broker for the net-centric, knowledge based, information age Army of tomorrow.
PCMP Environment
Today, the Army generally distributes knowledge, required by soldiers to execute processes supporting Army core competencies, through the Army Publishing Directorate (APD), either digitally via the Army Knowledge On-line (AKO) Portal, or as paper.
DTS will establish business processes involved in the creation, authentication and distribution of this knowledge, and automate and integrate the business processes to support the knowledge using available commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) technical products, and state-of-the-art hardware. DTS will move the Army from a paper based environment into the future.
DTS will transform disparate solutions, with ineffective external interfaces, into an integrated user friendly environment eliminating duplicative development and maintenance requirements, and reduce training costs. DTS will develop an effective, efficient life cycle management process by facilitating business process re-engineering.
